Hydrate before, during and after your ride. Please bring your own filled up reusable water bottle with a Sports Cap that will allow you to bike and drink at the same time. Also try to eat at least a snack 1 hour before boarding. We also advise you wear athletic gear that wicks sweat. If you are going to wear pants, the form-fitted ones are recommended. Padded cycling shorts can also make your ride more comfortable. Stretch before and after your ride as well. Hip flexor, hamstring, and thigh stretches, as well as chest-opening stretches, are highly recommended.
Yes. Riders must be at least 4’10” and a maximum weight of 300 pounds. If a minor is participating, we ask that a parent or legal guardian fill out a waiver form for them. We have had minors as young as 11-years old riding with us.
Cycling shoes are not required, since we have pedal straps on our bikes for regular sneakers. We do kindly ask that you wear clean, dry, and stiff-soled sneakers. If you have cycling shoes with recessed cleats or an SPD system, you are welcome to bring them. All our bikes are outfitted with the clip system as well. We do not rent cycling shoes on board. Cycling shoes can be a real game-changer, and we highly recommend them for a more efficient and supportive cycling workout.

We use a teaching method that is very welcoming and supportive for all fitness levels. We also offer gel-padded seat attachments to allow for a much more comfortable ride. In addition, we do not use free-weights while on the bikes, or promote push-ups and crunches on the bike, as we consider it to be ineffective and unsafe. We know how to train safely and comfortably, so ride with us at your own pace and see the difference. With us, it's all about having fun!
Towel service and gel-padded seat attachments are included. We also have storage bins, coat hooks, and power outlets.

No. When normally seated and sedentary inside a vehicle, we sometimes get motion sickness because there is a mismatch between what our inner ear senses (no movement) and our what our eyes are sensing (movement). On the Bikebus, you are moving your body too, so your inner ear and your eyes are telling you that everything is matching up. Therefore, there is no motion sickness.
If outdoor biking is your preferred method of commuting, we say go for it! Be careful, be smart, and be sure to wear a helmet. We have added another option to your commute to get people moving when they would otherwise be sedentary. The Bikebus is a group exercise experience rather than a solitary experience. Everyone on board is cycling to upbeat music, cheering each other on, and connecting with the outside world. The riders also don't have to worry about factors like traffic, bad weather or irresponsible motorists.
